IE6 breakdown

dutch english

While I was at a friend of mine, proudly showing of this blog, I opened up the page in IE6 and guess what… total failure! It hung, the browser couldn’t do anything anymore. That worried me: the time I took to install all stuff and now it hangs in the most common ( :( ) browser? I had to see that.

I develop my site on a Mac, using Firefox and every now-and-then an occasional checkup in Safari. Besides that, I use a Windows XP with IE7 in Parallels, just like a Windows 2000 with IE6. Finally, I use a standalone XP machine with IE7. In all those machines, the browser never stalled. There were some issues, but no serious ones.

So I went to Evolt.org to download myself a standalone IE6. Because, once you update, you don’t down-date so now I am stuck with IE7 and need a work-around to use IE6. Guess what: no problemo! If you do have problems while visiting my site, please drop me a comment. Firefox should be able to do that…
