When a previous post was spot by Jans N95blog.com, I noticed a considerable increasing of my hits. I decided to take a look at the site and found a nice post about 25 must have apps for your Nokia N95. Especially the part about Screenshot for Symbian got to my attention: How nice would it be to take a screenshot from the N95, to use it in posts on my blog? A pleasant surprise was the easy-install: click and go!

SABnzbd: trying to fetch more blocks

SABnzbd is fetching more blocks...

Just a quick one: gotta love SABnzbd. It automatically downloads extra .par files when a post wasn’t verified! Really, this program does what it should, the right way.Don’t forget: as of February first, the forums on SF.net are closed. Use the correct forums from now on.

Tomorrow I’m on the road, visiting some business associates and some friends. Whilst on the road, I still want to check my emails and, if neccessary, log on to our servers.Keeping up with my mail is easy: the N95 has a perfect IMAP client that allows me to just fetch the headers. All I needed to do was set up the MacBook to acces the internet through the N95, using Bluetooth. Guess what: couldn’t be easier!

Mounting an Ubuntu folder on OS-X

Since I mainly work at my MBP and my mediacenter is my main download machine, I needed a convenient way of accessing the machine, OS-X way. Here’s what I found: sshfs for Mac OS X. Installing is very easy: download, install the package and your done.

Upgrading Lightbox to 2.5

As Osamwal suggested, I upgraded my lightbox plugin to the latest version. Too bad it didn’t work out: still, a few glitches. I tested the page in a few browsers now:

  • Ubuntu 7.10 X86_64 with Firefox 2.0.0.11
  • OS-X 10.5 with Firefox 2.0.0.11 and with Safari 3
  • Windows XP with Firefox 2.0.0.11 and Internet Explorer 7.

Didn’t like the results.
